“It’s such a good app!” ITV 's This Morning features Rocketmakers-built app Biscuit

Biscuit, the pet wellbeing mobile app designed and developed by Rocketmakers, was lauded on daytime television yesterday when Britain’s Coupon Kid, Jordan Cox, fervently recommended it to ITV This Morning presenters Dermot O’Leary and Sian Welby.

Cox appeared in a segment which highlighted opportunities for earning extra income. He was full of praise for Biscuit, and highlighted its rewards programme, which allows dog owners to earn vouchers from well known retailers just for regularly walking and caring for their canine friend.

“It’s such a good app!” he said.  

Becoming television-famous is just one of a string of highlights for Biscuit since its launch in Autumn 2022. 

With 200,000 downloads and over 60,000 monthly active users, Biscuit became the #1 app on both Google Play & the Apple App Store in the Health & Fitness category in December 2022. 

The app’s design and development have also won tech industry plaudits. Biscuit was named Best Digital Design at the 2023 SPARKies Awards, and was shortlisted in the 2023 GoTech Awards and the 2023 UK Business Tech Awards. 

The concept of the Biscuit app was conceived by Biscuit Pet Health, which was founded by veterans of the pet health industry. They wanted an app that would help “pet parents” reduce incidents of pet obesity, illness, dental problems, poor pet behaviour and anxiety. 

One of the biggest challenges creating the app was the extensive list of third-party integrations Biscuit Pet Health wanted to include, and required the development of a custom plug-in to ensure everything worked smoothly. The resulting user experience, which includes the rewards programme featured on ITV This Morning, has been a huge factor in Biscuit’s ongoing success.

Now that Biscuit has triumphed on British morning telly, it might seem like there could be no further heights to scale - but this is not true! 

Biscuit is currently a finalist in two categories at the 2024 UK Dev Awards (Best App and Best B2C App). The results will be announced in London on 21 February!
