It's our Birthday!
This October Rocketmakers celebrates its 17th birthday. It is extraordinary to think that 17 years ago, when Rocketmakers began the iPhone was just being rolled out and Radiohead were revolutionising music. In the media world, HC DVD and Blu-ray were still going head to head for market share. At Rocketmakers we began as a team of two building software for clients as big as Meryll Lynch and as small as early-stage startups like TipTap and Coco+
As we have grown, we have built a number of micro services to increase the efficiency and impact of our software for clients, and the last few years have seen us turn our hand to building public-facing products. These products have grown to form one-half of Rocketmakers Labs, the Holosuite Technologies. We started with Beam, a platform that allows you to deliver dynamic and personalised immersive experiences as easily, quickly, and cheaply in 3D, AR, and VR as you can for the web.
Later we explored interaction with AI-powered human holograms - you might have had a chat with a 3D version of Obama thanks to Portrait, or read about how we cloned Richard. Portrait merges generative AI chat, tailored personality, voice, and lifelike 3D holography to build user experiences that are more intuitive, engaging, and efficient.
Most recently, we have developed unique software that helps you to draw on multiple AI-powered perspectives and interact with a group in YourRoom, ideal for gathering insights for a focus group or practicing for an interview panel. You can think of it as a multi-agent AI solution for deep thinking around a complex problem.
We’re also celebrating having upped our award-winning game having secured both national (UK Dev Awards) and international awards (Global Business Tech Awards) for our software development projects with clients. We continue to operate at the bleeding edge, and the team is energised by the variety of sectors and tech solutions that we continue to build.
Beyond our involvement with the Bristol and Bath entrepreneur ecosystem, we have been spending more time in London at the SME Expo and London Tech Week, and we’re looking forward to The Business Show ahead in November - see you there!
